Sheridan, I'm so sorry!
Just wanted to add here that Jake was officially diagnosed with ABPA this past year, age eleven. Disappointing...
But his IgE was down from 4,000s to the 1,500s. Yay!

My son Jake is in the process of being diagnosed with ABPA or ruling it out. He is 10 now, but was 9 when his IgE came been extremely elevated, in the 7,000s. He is on prednisone right now. His last IgE was in the 4,000s. I am waiting for the results of some more testing for ABPA.

Jacob had a repeat IgE level done, and it came back in the 4,000s. The cf dr said that an IgE that high usually indicates aspergillosis (sp?). He has to start a heavy duty course of steroids and do some more testing.
Anyone with similiar experience?

After Jacob's last bloodwork a couple of months ago, his IgE level came back very elevated.
Has anyone experienced this in their child?
What did it mean in terms of their health?
The dr. mentioned aspergillis(spelling?) exposure. I do not have a lot of time for searching the internet...
