Just because you have a high GTT does not mean that you need insulin treatment. If your blood sugar does not spike after meals then you would be doing yourself harm by opening yourself up to hypoglycemia if you took insulin. Even the A1C won't tell too much because it is artificially low in CF... -

How do you adjust from being a cystic fibrosis patient to a transplant patient? I am planning on going home from the hospital tomorrow following my transplant and I don't know how to be a transplant patient. I know CF. I don't know transplants.
