I guess I didn't explain myself very well. We are stopping the vitamins for a few days...they think that maybe starting everything at once caused the tummy ache..I don't know. They told me once her tummy aches got better then to restart the vitamins. Also, her stool is soft and looks like normal breast milk BM to me. We have yet to find out if her pancreas is working normally, as we just had a positive sweat test this week. We are now waiting on all the blood work and stool sample to come back which I guess takes 2 weeks. I did give her some gas drops an hour ago and she seems to be much more content now. Hopefully this works! Thanks for the advice!

I'm a little surprised to hear they would start her on enzymes without any real pancreatic insufficiency symptoms... enzymes shouldn't do any harm tho but if it isn't just gas it seems like they would be willing to stop them until you get the test results back if she isn't really having any digestive problems. A lot of people start enzymes without test results but that is because the symptoms are quite clearly indicating that they need them. That doesn't sound like it is the case with your daughter.

just my two cents - i feel horrendous when i take too many enzymes. very constipated and bloated.

so if she's PS, and doesn't need enzymes, maybe that's what's going on.
