Make sure you're taking adequate vitamin D - 1000+ IU - to ensure that calcium is absorbed (you can take all the calcium in the world but if you don't have enough D, the calcium won't help).
If you're not already getting annual bone density tests, start NOW. Your osteoclast activity will start to exceed osteoblast activity starting peri-menopause which means your bones will be weaker and more prone to fracutre.
