2010 NYC Marathon...less than a year post TX

Never even came close to running a marathon. I never could run after the age of 12 or so.
I ran 1 mile 2 months post TX, 4 miles 5 months post TX, and 13.1 miles 9 months post TX.
This weekend I'm running 20 miles. It will be easy because I've set my mind to do it.
I'm doing this because I want CF to be a household term like cancer and HIV. I want all the big networks to cover it, as well as the NY Times.
I'm running this for something bigger than myself. I'm doing this for everyone here, TX or not.

I have the same goal. I will be training for the Boston Marathon and I'm working on receiving a number. Congrats and good luck! If it wasn't for the few like your self and a few I know here in Boston who have ran the Marathon here I would have never imagined it as an obtainable goal, the main thing is the awareness that's really the only reason why I'm doing it.

Hey Lex i am so proud of you!!! i seen you on CBS news tonight. Actually my parents screamed and said "Hurry there is a guy on the news talking about his CF and running the NY marathon" i ran in and caught you just on time. As i said before all the best and Dr Sonnet is a great Doctor and will be supporting you and everyone else on that day. I am also a patient at columbia. Pre TX and trust the team a 100%.
