My brother ran it. And my husband. And my 2 sisters and several friends.

I could not run it due to a bad exacerbation and hospitalization. But my heart was there for sure. I'm so proud of my brother, who also has Cf. He has had such a difficult year with his health. He could have taken the easy way out, but he is a true fighter. He is the best example for me to look up to, in beating this illness with courage and never an excuse! I am so honored to have this guy as my brother.
My husband trained also, for months! It made him get back into exercise. He was so encouraged and inspired by all the other cfers he saw there. It's opened his eyes, in a positive way. I am so proud of him!
Seeing them all cross that finish line made my heart swell. If they can do that, I can deal with my IVs, pills, vest, whatever! I encourage anyone with cf, spouse of cfer, family or friend to participate in this amazing event. It will push you on and inspire you to go the distance with this illness.
