difficulty breathing while sleeping

so it's been a couple of months since i said i would need sleeping tips, well i was right, i need them <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> it's not that i'm having trouble breathing, i'm just having trouble in general. i start off in the bed, then i go to the couch, then the recliner, then the couch, i can't get comfortable at all. then my legs get restless and it's so annoying. i'm 33 weeks, so not too much longer of not being able to sleep because of her inside. i'm just not going to sleep after that because i will have her to tend to, oh well it's all going to be worth it.

she keeps balling up on my left side and it kills me. i'm assuming these are braxton hicks contractions. when i try to push back she doesn't go back.

dustin asked me last night how many times i had used the bathroom that day. i told him i couldn't keep track. i told my mom i wanted to wear a diaper, of course i was just picking. but hey it would be great. thats another reason i can't sleep at night because i'm up peeing every five minutes. i always drink a glass of milk before bed or a glass of water. i can't cut that out. i know it would help.

i know AnD had her baby at 34 weeks, did any of you have your's earlier? i keep getting scared i'm going to go into labor any minute. my back is starting to hurt too. i guess i'm just getting to a miserable stage in my pregnancy.

First, you need to RELAX. Have you tried meditation or any relaxation techniques? I have a CD by Hypnobabies that is called "Peaceful Sleep Now for expectant moms". It puts me to sleep every time I listen to it so you might want to check it out. you can go to www.hypnobabies.com

You aren't going to go into labor any moment. Braxton Hicks ctx are normal and good. Every contraction you have is preparing you for the baby. And yes, unless you cut out the drink before bed you are going to have to get up and pee a lot. There really isn't any way around that. Just make sure you completely empty your bladder at each trip to the bathroom. Do you have a body pillow? That might help you get in a comfortable position.

I don't have much other advice since it has been 2.5 years since I was in your shoes and I don't really remember much of the sleeping troubles. Oh if you want her to move you can check out www.spinningbabies.com. It has great exercises and tips to help you get baby in the optimal position for labor and delivery. The techniques might help her get in a better position so you can get more rest

Oh boy do I ever remember the sleeping troubles! The only true comfort I can give you is that it is preparing you for the baby, think how rough it would be if you went from perfect sleep to getting up with an infant! I slept better after she got here, personally.

I bought a back n belly pillow, they are sort of expensive so since you are so far along you may just want to pile regular pillows up nad make a nest out of them. The last two weeks I piled couch pillows onto the futon because the bars made it easy for me to maneuver my body around and there was no place for my pillows to slide to so they stayed in place better.

Also the restless leg feeling can be helped by getting a nice relaxing walk in during day or evening from my experience, I knwo it sounds like the last thing you want to do but it can help.
