I get SSD right now since may 2009. But the lady at SSA told me that in 2012 I would not be able to draw SSD anymore I have been drawing SSI for about 5 yrs now. So it was fairly easy for me to get SSD. But i have only medicaid right now. My medicare hasn't kicked in yet. So when I lose my SSD all I will have is SSI. That's why I haven't gotten married yet b/c SSI is based on income. And insurance is so expensive I couldn't afford it and there was a 2 year waiting period. I wouldn't need it after 2 yrs of no meds. I mean do they really think you can live on $600 a month without having to go around the system. And now all the medicare cutbacks I may not get any help with that. I'm not sure why i wont get it after 2012 maybe b/c I didn't work enough. All of my work time was between 2003 and 2008. The rest of the time was on and off when my kids were small. It's very complicated to me

I get SSD right now since may 2009. But the lady at SSA told me that in 2012 I would not be able to draw SSD anymore I have been drawing SSI for about 5 yrs now. So it was fairly easy for me to get SSD. But i have only medicaid right now. My medicare hasn't kicked in yet. So when I lose my SSD all I will have is SSI. That's why I haven't gotten married yet b/c SSI is based on income. And insurance is so expensive I couldn't afford it and there was a 2 year waiting period. I wouldn't need it after 2 yrs of no meds. I mean do they really think you can live on $600 a month without having to go around the system.
