3 things you love/hate about where you live?

i'll start you off;
LOVE

1 the countryside, it's beautiful
2 the incessant talk about the weather. if you lived here you would understand!!!
3 the nhs (founded by a welshman no less!!!)

HATE

1 scroungers who drain all of our social security benefits ( it was supposed to help you when times were hard,not be a lifestyle choice)
2 never knowing what the weather will be like from one hour to the next (running from hail stones to being on the beach within hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
3 wishy washy liberals who care more about criminals rights than they do about victims rights.

1. The difinitive change in seasons in the Northwest
2. White Christmases
3. That we are close to our families again


HATE
1. Hay Fever season (i sneezed 86 times on Sunday, thougth I was going to give birth!!!!!)
2. Abusers of programs designed to give one a hand UP, not a handout
3. I love the rain, but I hate having big huge dogs and no coverage in my backyard for them in the fall/winter

only being able to wear cute winter clothes a few times before it gets hot again

The seaside - can't beat the sea air and beautiful scenery
My family - even though they drive me crazy at times - I love them all to bits
The gym - said I know - but I get a real buzz from exercise

HATE

Town - not town itself, but all the silly people who walk around the streets smoking
The weather - for being so unpredictable
Traffic - need I say more?

1. Fairly quiet neighborhood
2. Close to most of our family (my brother lives in MN)
3. Close to stores, restaurants, etc.

HATE

1. The water (we our on a community well and that water gets yellow/oragne at times, so we have to go get water from my husband's parent's house to drink. You also can't do laundry when the water is orange; hate it).
2. Don't like driving in the winter in the snow
3. Hate the bad storms/tornadoes!!!!!

Love

The change in seasons -- hot summers, fall weather, snow, springtime flowers
Having my son grow up close to family and lots of cousins (DH's side)
Small city with lots of amenities, but don't have to deal with traffic, smog, etc.

Hate

How it always seems to rain before a snow storm -- turn to ice and stay really cold, so the streets turn to skating rinks
Killer mosquitos that buzz in your ears and fly up your nose
My family not being close and having my son miss out on spending time with them.

Love the green cornfields with corn that is kneehigh by the 4th of july.
Love the clean air and blue, blue skies.
Love the friendly people who go out of their way to help you.
Hate the heat and humidity.
Hate the urban flight to the subburbs.
Hate all the suv's people think they need 'cause it snows in winter!

4 seasons (first snow, first green, first red leaf, first day at the beach)
small town, but close enough to the city

HATE

snakes in my yard
humidity in summer, rain after a snow storm in winter
pine pollen (love the trees- hate the pollen)

thankyou for that terri and jane. :<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0"> my family and i have been to florida twice, new york for three nights followed by 11 nights in las vegas (we married there in august 2004) houston and maine, granted we didn't leave the airport!!!!!!!!!! they were refuelling. ha ha!!! next we want to go back to maine but actually leave the airport <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> we are trying to travel as much as poss while joe is in good health. take care. janet.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I love that I am surrounded by trees so my neighbors can't see me
I love that when I drive off the hill into Charleston our capital building is right there
I love walking/jogging up and down the rivers edge by the capital(a theme there)
I hate icy moutain roads
I hate we don't have more of a night life (outside of bars)
I hate welfare rats milking the system

My home...of course take me home country roads, Charleston WV

Nothing about Redding, Ca. (HELL)

Hate:

1. Being so far from my beaches and Pacific Grove.

2. The weather. I freeze my tuckus off in the winter.

3. The weather. It was 117 degrees last week.

1) when the humidity goes above 20%
2) that the air pollution is increasing as Phoenix grows

I love the great winters here in Florida. The people are friendly. The scenary is beautiful.

I dislike Hurricane Season, Driving long distances to my doctor, Hate the humidity (gross)

Hate the wind when it rains.
hate the way they drive in Gourock
Hate mindless vandalism

Love the fact we can have four seasons in one day.
love cycling in the rain, theres something strange and comforting about having my backside soaking wet.
love having most of my nieces and nephews nearby
