504 Plans

I think that pretty much sums it up right there. My school has been giving me crap about missing for my GI problems. Yet, I have people telling me that anyone who has a 504 should be excused from attendence issues(e.g. getting a doctor's excuse, etc.)
Just wondering if anyone has any tips. It's be most appreciated...<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I have a 504 plan and when i'm absent from my cf they send me a tutor who tutors me for two hours on my class work with you being tutored your absences shouldn't be held against you along with your current absences. if you're having problems have your parents have a meeting with the school and if that doesnt help have them take it up with the superintendant hope this helps.

From what I recall from high school, you need to specify in your 504 plan about absences. I always missed more than the alotted amount of days, but with my 504 plan, it wasn't a problem.

It has to be spelled out in your 504. Have your parents check it, if it is not there have them call for an emergency team meeting to update the 504. Include extra time to get homework caught up after being sick. If you are at a private school, forget it, they don't have to do anything, most do but they don't have to.
