I have been horribly short of breath the past few weeks. I get up and do laundry to clean the kitchen and I get tired very quickly and short of breath. Sometimes I just have to stop and take a few deep breaths so that I can keep on. I carried laundry down two short flights of stairs and loaded them into the wash machine... I had to go and sit down for a while and rest. Felt absolutely horrible.
I do okay when I am sitting down-- knitting, watching tv, playing computer games and the such.
At my clinic appointments my oxygen numbers sitting down are 95-99%. My PFT's are 72-74%. Could my oxygen levels be tanking already?? It seems to early in the game.
I also have not been sleeping well. Waking up with a dull headache, horrible fatigue after 8 hours of sleep. It takes me 30 minutes just to break free of the "sleeping fog". I have also have woke up during the night and walked to the bathroom to find myself gasping for a deep breath (and a touch dizzy). Is it possible my oxygen is falling during the night. I had this happen in the ER several year ago... my oxygen levels fell down to 70% while I was sleeping (after pain meds).
Should I suggest doing the 6 minute walk test or it this just the beginning of needing a tune up??
