My daughter has been exclusively breastfed for 6 months! Hooray!
I lost a lot of weight in the beginning, all my pregnancy weight and then a little more, but not enough to put me out of a healthy BMI - just to take the chunk off that I had accumulated before pregnancy. Now I am maintainng juts fine. She is growing hearty and healthy, so I know my milk's working! We have no plans on stopping nursing anytime soon - probably we will just let her wean when she's ready, but I am going to give her a banana tonight and see what she does with it.
Anyway, I thought I'd share this here, since you all are the most likley ones to be interested in breastfeeding. I wasn't a successful nurser with my son, so this is really importnant to me!
here she is with her dad - who would kill me if he knew I put his pic on here, so don't tell - but aren't they cute?? <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">
