My daughter has been exclusively breastfed for 6 months! Hooray!

I lost a lot of weight in the beginning, all my pregnancy weight and then a little more, but not enough to put me out of a healthy BMI - just to take the chunk off that I had accumulated before pregnancy. Now I am maintainng juts fine. She is growing hearty and healthy, so I know my milk's working! We have no plans on stopping nursing anytime soon - probably we will just let her wean when she's ready, but I am going to give her a banana tonight and see what she does with it.

Anyway, I thought I'd share this here, since you all are the most likley ones to be interested in breastfeeding. I wasn't a successful nurser with my son, so this is really importnant to me!

here she is with her dad - who would kill me if he knew I put his pic on here, so don't tell - but aren't they cute??

Yes, they are! Congrats! I went 6 months, but I was pumping, so between me beginning to have a hard time keeping up, and a round of pancreatitis, she had to go on formula for the next 6 months. I'm so happy for you!

Good job Mama! I am proud of you.
You daughter is so cute and so is your husband!
Alexa and I had a really hard time breastfeeding but once we got the hang of it, we had a wonderful breastfeeding experience until she weaned at 12 months.
