Today was my 6 week check up and I also had a bronchoscopy with biopsy.
My FEV1 is up to 96. Unfriggin' believable! I told the tech that my FEV hasn't been that high since I was 10 years old--and even then I doubt it.
They expect my FEV1 to keep climbing well beyond 100. That will be a great reason to celebrate. I'll have an FEV1 party. No one there will get it.
While waiting in the pulmo function lab, the guy next to me was in rejection. He was winded just walking to the chair. It made me really reflect on how much luck has to do with this.
However, the things I can control like exercise, nutrition, rest, taking my meds religiously....those things are 100%.
If I can help it, I don't want to help "bad" luck.
