Treatment options for bronchiectasis?

My bronchiectasis has always been severe - to the point now that i need a lung transplant. I know they treat bronchiectasis like CF

Treatment options for bronchiectasis?

They treat bronchiectasis from other causes exactly the same way they treat bronchiectasis from CF-so all of the lung treatments apply (but not the enzymes which are for digestive issues)

Bonniebaby-you probably have bronchiectasis from so long of not being treated like myself and the low level infection just staying in there not being treated properly. From my understanding they dont treat us any differently persay than a typical CF treatment plan, it can just complicate things because it is easier for mucous to get 'stuck' in those low lying dilatated areas and for mucous plugs to form.

this is so much for you to be dealing with WHILE you are pregnant, hats off to you--your are superwoman <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

From my understanding they dont treat us any differently persay than a typical CF treatment plan, it can just complicate things because it is easier for mucous to get 'stuck' in those low lying dilatated areas and for mucous plugs to form.
