9-11-01 anniversary

I've been thinking so much of 9-11-01, I think of those who died, those who lost a loved one. The pregnant ladies whose husbands never got to see their children, and all of those babies who never met their dads, they'd now be 6 year olds. For all of the random people who fade with our memories, for all of the lovers who lost their partners, for all of the kids who lost 1 or both parents.
I am so saddened by this, I was wondering if anyone on here lost someone that day? I didn't, not directly, but I mourn for those who are still hurting.

God Bless America. God bless our troops and keep them safe until they get home.
I'm thankful I live in this country.

My nephew paul is one of those children that never got to meet their dad. I'll

never forget going to my sister in law Linda s house, waiting to hear something ..

loooking at her face, seeing the terror and sadness in her eyes.. Being frightened

for her, for her son, daughter and for the child she was carrying..This sunday at

our church, the Mass was for those who lost their lives on 9- 11.. It was beautiful,

and when we sang America The Beautiful, the tears were flowing... and when we sang On

Eagels Wings, I thought of my BIL Paul, that song was sung at his funeral for

him...Rest In Peace Paul <img src="i/expressions/rose.gif" border="0"> and everyone that lost their lives as well as

our service men and woman..God Bless you guys and God Bless

America....<img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0"> joni

I was among the fortunate who didn't have anyone close to me be a victim of that day.
However, It was vivid in my mind as to how I saw the news, and I was shocked beyond belief!!
I came home from work, late as I usually did, and as I was going to take a shower, the news showed one airplane hitting the towers. I thought it was a major airline error, and went to take my shower (it was already 10pm by then).
I came out of the shower to find out another one struck the second building and there were at least two other attempt in other parts of the states...(sorry if this was too graphic for those of you still sensitive to the incident)

I was able to sleep, but with a puzzlement as to what had gone on. Since I had absolutly no internet connection at home in that era, I immediately checked when I went into work the next day. I also wasn't watching tv in the am, nor could listen to the radio cause I'd disturb the ex's needed "beauty sleep" (didn't wanna wake up the beast!).
I never felt so infuriated in my life about something until after I found out what happened that day. I know some close friends at work were offering condolences for my country, but some people didn't have a clue...

God Bless America!! E Pluribus Unum!
