9-11-01 anniversary

I didnt lose anyone I actually knew in 9/11, but it still rattled my world. Many of the victims went to St. Vincents Hospital which is where my Clinic is. When I was in the hospital for the Blackout of 2003, many of the girls who were working had been on duty during 9/11 & you could see the panic in their faces not knowing what was going on initially in 2003.

I was terrified to go to the clinic for a long time after 9/11. I had been there just days before.

Hubby has become more edgy when I am admitted now because of this. During the blackout of 2003 he wanted me home right then!

I can only imagine the pain that the families have endured through this all. They are always remembered in my heart!

I was a senior in high school at the time. We had the usual first day of school meetings and assemblys a week before and then...two weeks later the first line of the next assembly..."As we meet today our world is changed..." On the actual day, they made numerous announcements. I still rememmber where I was when I found out...history class. Dan told me..and I totally didnt realize the extent of what had happened. By the end of that class (it was third period, like 10:00) we were able to get online and I was just in shock, watching the video. Like I said they kept telling us throughout the day, what was going on. In my journalism class, the teacher was able to get a tv, so we just sat for 45 minutes and watched the covereage. It was so horrendous...you couldnt turn the tv off, but its not like you wanted to watch...

I didnt know anyone personally who died, but my heart goes out to all who were and still are affected...I still get chills thinking about that day!
