Hello everyone, I am a new member. I am 22yrs old, recently in the last days of January I was given an ultimatum by my doctor that if I did not stop smoking weed/cigaretts and regain the 15lbs that i have lost she will insist that i go to the doctor. I have a new diet and excerise plan all laid out but i will have to admit I do not want to stop getting high. Unfortunatly my doctor believes I have reached my exacerbation stage. Pretty much means now or never right?

Wish me luck friends

I think it'd be a good start to just lay off the cigarettes. If you don't think you can do it all at once why not eliminate the most harmful and when you feel you've successfully accomplished that goal see where you stand and go forward from there. If you try to quit cold turkey everything your accustom to you will likely just fail and be less likely to attempt quitting again. Where if you make progress even if you don't reach your ideal goal at least your taking strides in the right direction.

But that's just me. Quitting is hard. I just failed at quitting myself so instead of giving up I just regulated my habits better. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I could not imagine smoking with CF and Im a healthy CFer. How are you even able to function? I have pfts always in the 80-83% and I would feel like crap if I was smoking. I guess the only thing I can say is if you want to live bad enough, you will quit. Its all on you with what you want!
