A new Tobi study drug....

I wanted to do the study but it was hard with my teaching schedule to make the doctor's appointments. For me, I would do it just because it would cut out so much time to my day. I say try it, you can always drop out.

Hi, I just read a little about this new version. According to the paper I read, inhaling the dry powder allows better access of the drug to the small airways in the lungs, compared to using a nebulizer. So I would imagine that if you got good results from nebulizing Tobi, you could potentially get even better results with the inhaled powder version.

Of course this is pure speculation but just thought I'd offer my non-expert opinion <img src="">

Wow, all I have to say is that an inhaled powder TOBI would be a godsend for ds. His most dreaded CF treatment is the month we're doing TOBI and the twice daily confinement to his neb leash for 30-45min.

Do it! I loved the TIP study and I'm so sad that I'm done with it. TIP is far more convinent than TOBI, faster, better, and just as effective. I am so anxious for it to get approved as it is so much easier than the neb!
