Abnormal 2nd Baby Screening Result

You are right. She passed the first test, and was just above in the second. Which has confused the pediatrician a little. She did have a pretty stressful birth. My wife had to be induced, and even then she was in labour for 2 days. After pushing for 2.5 hours they decided to go for a c-section since our daughter was facing the wrong way and got stuck.

I obviously plan to get whatever we need to get done, to ensure she is diagnosed correctly. I'd hate to miss anything. Still trying to think positive thoughts. However prepared for the worst. We have a great support community however in this forum.

I did not have your same experience, but wanted to say that I really hope that the second value is just a fluke and that the sweat test is negative. My sons IRTs were about 200 and 170, then his sweat test was 112, and he was only 2.5 weeks at his sweat test. Best of luck and congrats on the new addition!

Thank you to everyone on here. We have just gotten back from the sweat test and will get the results back this afternoon. This has certainly been an eye opening experience! Whatever the results, i'm glad we have found out early. I'd like to donate some money to the fund above and will do in honour of all of you going through this.

Just wanted to update you all. The results of the sweat test came back normal today. Was an ordeal getting the results from our doctor. They ended up calling me back at 7pm to confirm it but it's such a relief. We will wait on the repeat blood test now and speak to the children's hospital. However, the signs seem good!
