Has anyone gotten pregnant without meaning to and had an abortion? Did you get it done because you knew the pregnancy would possibly kill you? Answer as anonymous if you don't want to show your name.

I haven't had to, my bc hasn't failed. But if I got pregnant I would do it because getting pregnant would probably ruin my health, and being a parent would too.

I hope this all remains civil. I personally do not believe in abortion, but if you fear this unplanned pregnancy will ruin your health, abortion may be the right option for you. As long as you feel you can handle it emotionally, you need to do what is best for you.

And to add more than my 2 cents....If you plan on never having kids then maybe having your "tubes tied" would be good option to prevent (better than any other birth control beside abstinance) any further unwanted pregnancies.

I have had to make the hard choice of whether to have an abortion or not. Mine was not health issues, but personal.

My personal choice was I could not go through with an abortion, BUT I am very pro choice. I do not believe men in the government should be able to tell a woman if she can have an abortion or not.

It is a very personal choice, and only the woman going through it can decide what is best for her body and mind.

Just my opinion!

miesl,

wow.....that is an interesting site. I read quite a few of the stories. It is interesting to hear from women that have no regrets about terminating their pregnancies. It is nice to know that site is there. It is good to hear and know both sides of the story!

I cant believe I am admitting this to you all, but if it will help anyone then I have always said my life is open to anyone that asks. When I was 15 I started dating guy who was 7 years older. We date almost for 2 year. Toward the middle of the 2nd year I got pregnant. I never even thought about keeping or having the baby. It was drilled into my head that it couldnt/shouldnt happen. My cousin worked for our local planned parenthood at the time so I went for a test & verified it. Our local planned parenthood didnt do abortions so we contacted my CF clinic. I go to a catholic center so they couldnt do it there, but the director of my clinic at the time referred us somewhere. For those wondering......the guy I was with told me he had an injury as a boy that left him sterile. I was not educated by my parents on sex & I was "IN LOVE" so I didnt ??? him. Not until the end when he must have known I was pregnant & started using condoms "just in case". TUrns out when I told him about the pregnancy (against my mothers wishes) that he denied it because he used condoms. He didnt calculate well tho. I was too far along for the condom usage to clear him of fatherhood.
