You might want to spend sometime reading back on this forum, as there have been many discussions about meds, birth, breastfeeding, treatments, time maintenance, etc. .</end quote></div>

I completely agree - There was a relatively recent discussion about going for #2 <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://forums.cysticfibrosis.com/messageview.cfm?catid=1151&threadid=27837&enterthread=y

</a>
If the link doesn't work just scroll down the pregnancy main page and you'll find it a little ways down. There were 18 posts so we all pretty much gave our opinions and experiences.

The link Caroline posted has some great info!

I am 30 weeks pg with Baby #2. Our daughter turned 2 in Sept. so she is almost 2.5 now.
*KNOCK ON WOOD* I have not been to the hospital for CF related issues since I was 9 years old, almost 19 years ago! I had my appendix removed when I was 23 but aside from that and the birth of my daughter I have stayed out. Also, *KNOCK ON WOOD* I have not done IV's for CF realted issues since 9 years old as well.
I am really cautious about taking any antibiotics. Thankfully, oral antibiotics and Tobi still work for me.
My pregnancy with my daughter was "easy" and event free until my water borke and my daughter arrived at 34 weeks.
This pregnancy has been harder. I would not say it has been much different than my pregnancy with my daughter but having a toddler and being pregnant is just plain hard. I have developed gestational diabetes with this pregnancy. That adds just one more thing but now that I have been dealing with it for a few weeks it is not a huge change. For awhile during this pregancy I was having a hard time getting my morning treatments in but once I made that a priority I have been doing all of the treatments, moring and night.
My PFT's dropped while I was pg with my daughter. Before getting pg my baseline was 80-85%. During pregnancy I got down to around 50%. I was able to get back to my baseline about 6 months after delivery. In June of 2007 I had my best PFT in years, 86%, my daughter was 19 months at the time and we decided it was time for #2. We did IUI in July and got pg on the firt try.
My PFT's have held steady at about 75% this pregnancy. At my last check up which was a week ago, I was down to 60% but feeling good (for 29 weeks pg) and no signs of infection so we assume this is just normal for me and pregnancy.
Good luck!
