I too am battling APBA. It is so frustrating...I am tired of the wheezy, tired, and coughy.

When I research Aspergillus I found it common in construction sites, wet leaves, and other outdoor locations. I didn't see anything on shower curtains..doesn't mean it isn't on shower curtains.

Have you ever been in the IV anti fungals? It starts with an M...mmm I can't remember the name. My doctor just suggested I get on it because I have high IGE and Spergillus levels.

I have never been on Iv anti-fungals, I've only been on pred and an anti-fungal for a 6 month period in order to bring my IgE back down, and it worked, but now it is going back up again

Im just going to see what happenes now that i have gotten rid of my mouldy shower curtain, hopefully if it was the shower curtain which was the root of my ABPA problems, then i will feel fine soon <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

Zara sorry for the problems you are having I dont have any useful suggestions on ideas medically other than making your environment as friendly as possible.

here are some common sources of mold/moisture in the home. I use the plastic shower curtains despite being eewy they are cheap $4 and I hang the one 'to be used' outside or in basement to air out so it wont smell like plastic and change when I start to see soap scum build up and long before mold.

I also have someone come clean once a week to do some bleaching for me in teh kitchen/bathroom while I am out of the house.

I also purchased an IQ AIr home filter <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.allergybuyersclubshopping.com/iqair.html?show=UP&itemId=141
">http://www.allergybuyersclubsh...w=UP&itemId=141
</a>
and an onix for my basement <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.allergybuyersclubshopping.com/af-ap-airfree-air-purifiers.html?id=2
">http://www.allergybuyersclubsh...fiers.html?id=2
</a>
since it is damp after rain, we are also having gutters installed and ran undergroudn away from teh house to help eliminate any moisture seeping in around walls basement.
