During this last hospital stay they tried to give me Ceftazadime and I had that brain swelling painful headache, just like you, where the top of my neck felt like alot of pressure and it felt like my eyes were trying to bulge out. They had to give me morphine because it hurt so bad. After coming home last night I still had the pain and used a hot pad on the back of my neck and it helped a little bit.

I tried to describe it to them and they looked at me like I was just depressed or nuts.
This is the second time I have had this reaction to this med and I got a rude reminder of it again.
I hate when Dr's try to make you sound phsycotic if they have never heard or read about a reaction.
I am so glad that you posted this because it makes me feel like I am not nuts, because they had me wondering!!!
My last hospital where I had the same reaction they made me feel nuts about it too.

I am so sick of that!!!
Ok Im done complaining!! <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">

I am not sure about the reaction being after the course is through.
But I believe that my epilepsy was cause by two diff drugs that I had already stopped but the Dr's dont seem to agree with me. So I dont know. Medicine is all strange to me and I am starting to be afraid of the a/b's.
