Acapella Cleaning and Sterilizing

I know the answer........
Josh had his checkup last Friday at the Hopkins CF clinic. It was a slow day so we got the royal treatment. saw the doc, pharmacist, dietician, social woker, and the physical therapist.
PT gave a full demonstration on using the Acapella and huffing, couging, etc. I asked abount disposing of the old one and she said to throe it away.

<b>ROUTIINE CARE:</b>
remove mouth piece, place both Acapella and moht piece in warm sudy water. Let them soak and then rinse by running water through it. Stand the unit upside down until it drys. Do this daily.

this is a link to some very good information on cf bugs that might help.
i would recommend getting a new acapella that you can boil. take it apart, boil with a lid for 10-20 mintues to insure that they are properly cleaned. then let them completely air dry before placing in a bag.

i would recommend getting a new acapella that you can boil. take it apart, boil with a lid for 10-20 mintues to insure that they are properly cleaned. then let them completely air dry before placing in a bag.
