How are you planning to clean your acapella while you're traveling? I ask because we used to clean the acapella only once a week years ago, when my daughter used it regularly. But now our doctor says it must be cleaned and sterilized every day. I'd love to know if you have any ideas to solve that problem, because we were planning to take the acapella on a trip also. Have fun on the trip!

Re. cleaning: The Acapella Choice, which my daughter has, comes apart and can be boiled or put through one of the baby bottle sterilizers people use for their nebs. We were told it needed to be washed with warm soapy water and then sterilized like nebs. For sterilizing, I'd do whatever you plan on doing with your nebs while you are away. If your hotel has a microwave, boiling in a bowl of water might be easiest.
You can get an adapter for it and do your nebs while using it- ask your RT about this.
When we got it for Emily we were told to have her take slow, deep breaths with exhalations as long as possible, and to stop and do huffs & cough every 2 minutes (more often if needed) and to do it for 15min sessions. I'm sure others here have different suggestions with first-hand experience vs. what a parent was told for a kid... but I figured I'd share what we were told.
