does anyone use the acapella??? i had a flutter when i was little, but now i just get PT. How long do you have to do the acapella, and how often. What do you think of it, i kinda wanna get one, but only if its effective.

I have an acapella! Used to have a flutter but i changed cos my airways are kinda sensitive & the acapella is kinda easier on them! It's just like the flutter, you just do whatever it was you did with that, like i have to do 6 sets of 15 in the morning and at night! i'd definitely recommend it it's extremely effective, more so than the flutter cos the flutter has to be in right position blah blah blah & don't know bout you but i never felt like i was doing it right! talk to your physio first though cos everyone's different. hope i helped, good luck & let me know how it goes!<img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">

I thought I'd speak up so you know you're not alone, but I won't be of any help. I use the Acapella (I call it a slug), but have only been using it for... 3 days now. So I can't really say much as of yet.

I use the acapella, I think its ok, but I actually think mine is broken! My mum does 'clapping' on me, I find that the most effective. My complience with physio overall isn't that great so I find it easier for my mum to do clapping on me as opposed to sitting doing the acapella. Just my opinion.
