Ok, lately I have been having "episodes" of aching bones. It effects everything hands, legs and arms or sometimes just hands or whatever. Its a weird achy, kinda like a charlie horse feeling. Like for instance, right now i have achyness in my hands and it worsens when I make a fist
I dont know its weird. Anyone have any ideas what the deal is?

Thanks!

Are you on any antibiotics such as Levaquin at this time? I get aches when on Levaquin.
Other than that, I don't have any ideas

I've experience this as well. When to rheumatology doc to find out what was going. His diagnosis for me was cf associated arthritis. See web site: <a target=new class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.cysticfibrosismedicine.com/htmldocs/CFText/arthritis.htm

i have acheyness about 60% of the time. its like the kind of aches you get at the start of a cold or flu. i take ibuprofen and extremely hot showers [seems to help] for it. sometimes i will get the sports injury type ache in my knees and this can keep me up at night if i dont take anything for it.

i had this too....that strange pain in my bones...the doctors tested the possibility of osteoporosis and found out i had a lack of calcium...which is common in cf when you`re older.
it`s important to find out early enough cause then you can make it improve by taking calcium ( that`s something like vitamines) and doing sports...good luck

I get aches and bone pains all the time. In fact right now I'm in pain and discomfort. All I know is that when I get sick, my tolerance for sitting, standing and general movement can become unbearable. What sucks even more, is trying to sit through an eight hour meeting in close proximity to others. Arrrg!

I have good days & bad. When an infection is active I hurt, but on rainy days (like today) I feel like I'm 85! When it becomes unbearable I take motrin otherwise I suck it up. If I took meds every time I felt "achy" I'd o.d.

Does anyone get a rash with this. Everytime my joints ache to the point that I can't move I get a rash all over my legs and arms. They have actually done a few biopsys on the rash but couldn't find out what it was. My docs to have just said it is CF related Arthritis. Anyway just wondering if anyone else gets this weird rash?

I have redness on the actual joints in my hands which is a direct link to arthritis. I am not aware of any redness elsewhere. Not that I inspect daily, but my husband or daughter would sure notice.

I too get aches and pains in my hands. I am 36 yr old female with CF. Told my CF doc about it and she thinks I am borderline arthritic. Pain gets better after I have a hot shower.
