Congrats! By the way, Olivia is my favorite. If I have a daughter, that is the name I will give her.

Congrats on the pregnancy! I used all the meds you listed during my twin pregnancy. I'm shocked your pulmonologist's office would even suggest that you stop any of your inhaled meds. When TOBI didn't work well for me I even went on inhaled Aztreonam (worked wonders!). I think it's the IV tobramycin you should be worried about. That can cause hearing problems in both patient and baby.

I hope you get reinstated on your CF meds. They are so important! Honestly, if your doc doesn't agree it's time to kick him to the curb and find a new one. I'm still blown away they would suggest that.... Do you think it's possible the nurse didn't consult with the doc? I just can't believe the doc would endorse that. Simply shocking.

Beautiful photo and beautiful names btw. Congrats again! Enjoy your pregnancy! You deserve it!

Hey Guys! I still keep in touch with the CF team at the hospital I go to (I don't see them because of insurance purposes) and they gave me the go ahead to stay on the Pulmozyme and Tobi. I think she forgot I asked them about the Zithromax because she didn't say anything about it, but I will ask the OB/GYN when I see them.

Tara, I am his only CF patient, he is only a pulmonologist (that's why I stay in touch with the CF team!!!) I just don't think he is very familiar with the meds.

Thanks for all the input!!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!!!

Just for your info, when I went off Pulmozyme (not b/c of pregnancy), I was congested too. Ask your doctor about taking NAC (n-acetyl cysteine). That really helped me thin out my phlegm. Also, read up on mucolyxir. I have just started that and it really thins out things. Maybe between the two of these things, you could find something that helps you stay clear, but doesn't harm your baby.
