The difference is the water soluble vitamins. With cf, we often have difficulty digesting fat, so the fat soluble vitamins tend to be low in our systems (due to malabsorbtion). When they make the fat soluble vitamins water soluble, we get more of the vitamins absorbed into our bodies than if we were taking a regular multivitamin. The vitamin K is an important one for blood clotting- if you aren't taking additional vitamin K, you may want to ask your doctor about a water soluble vit. Oh, and the normal recommended dosage is twice a day for adults for the cf vitamins, to improve absorbtion, rather than just one mega dose once a day. I take an adult vitamin in the morning, and a chewable one (more vit. D) in the evenings.
