Hi; I am 66 and just tested postive for CF, January, 2004. Just would like to know how many of us have reached the golden years. Test gave me a lot of answer about my past problems and why. Maybe we can help the young CF patients see there can be a long life ahead of them, if they just do it one step at a time. Help if you can. Laughts and love to all

Hi, I am not a "golden years" CFer, but am 37. I'm just amazed that you've made it to 66, that's great I bet it helps you to finally know the answer to alot of health problems you may have battled most of your life.I will watch this page, as I'm curious how many "over 50" people will respond. Take care

Hi there,I was adult diagnosed as well...but at the age of 31 (I'll be 34 in May). May I ask what the extent of your disease progression is and how they diagnosed you? (i.e. sweat test and/or genetics). I'll have to admit, I have not come across many people who were adult diagnosed over the age of 40 or so...amazing! My best to you!!Jen

I am 52. My doctor has run this test and that test but the next one is going to be for CF. I have it all from bronchiectasis to my lungs filling up and on antibocitis every two months now. I have to get really bad to get the drugs though. I want to know if this is what I have so I can get on a program. I also have Addison's. I have thick fluid coming out my ears lungs every where. Lots of stuff going on. I am praying I don't have CF but am wondering what it is? I have been sick for over 25 years but not bad enough till the last two. We had our house sprayed for termits and then it just exploded. We moved but didn't help a bit. So do you just always fill up with fluid or what? How do you make it day to day? My hat is covered with salt after a walk would that be CF? Lots of questions??? Thanks...

It was hard this winter ,but I look at the trip and make plans to do thing I am use to doing ,fish, walk. I have slowed down , and not worried about what I can't do ,but what I want to do. set a pace.. and laught, meet people, go out to lunch, go to church, love , help someone, volunteer, I have been campground host all over western U.S. I plan to live as I have in the past, live and enjoy what I am and can do.
