I agree with what everyone has said..

additionally, If you end up with bad Keloid scarring (like I did post tx) they can injected the scar directly with steriods which reduces the Keloiding...(kinda last care senario)

The other product that works really well is silicone strips, which have been proven to help reduce the appearance of scars...

You need to wait until the scar has completely healed....(it will fade in time)

Good luck

I used Neosporen Scar Solutions when I had my port surgery and they had to cut under my collarbone. It worked very well. You cant hardly tell where the scar is in my wedding photos...which is what i wanted. It can be expensive, about $30 for a pack, but I cut the strips in two and made them last twice as long. It is a twelve week treatment. U have to leave the bandage on for a minium of 12 hrs at a time. I left it on for longer. It takes some dedication but I think it is worth it. It looks like a bandaid on u. I started using it as soon as I was sure that the cut was 100% closed. No staples/stitches or strips. I dont know how it will do on your stomache scar. I have one from MI at birth which is pretty big but I havent tried it on that yet.
