I agree w others, start the process now for second opinion. The process takes several weeks, if not a month or so. By then you will have genetics you can bring along or send in advance. We have already transferred my son's pathology slides/blocks from his procedures up to Boston. They usually require records from everywhere, including his pediatrician, to see entire history. So, that takes some time to get but worth it. I feel better knowing a totally new team will look at my child's records bc where he is being seen now, no one seems to be accountable for finding the primary cause of PI.
