Hey guys,
We just got this suuuuper duper cool neb called the Aero Neb Go. This little thing is great, we love love love it! It does Jae's Pulmozyme neb in about 3 minutes and doesn't even make a sound. Her old Pari neb sounded like a jet engine compared to this thing. Literally, has zero noise. It is so tiny and portable and runs off AA batteries. Ease of use is an A+++ and cleaning wise all you do is wash it in warm soapy water, rinse in super hot water and allow to air dry. If anyone needs a new neb I HIGHLY suggest this one. Insurance covered only half and our out of pocket expense was $285, but worth every single cent!!! She is addicted to using it and we have only had it 2 days. My 7 yr old actually wants to do her treatments now, which is a miracle in it of itself! Haha!

I was wondering if anyone else uses this neb and what all meds you can use it with. So far we have just tried Pulmozyme with it. We also take Tobi, Denufosol, and Hypertonis Saline. I am ok using the HTS but was mostly wondering about the Tobi and Denufosol... Thanks for the info and if anyone has questions for us on how to get it, I can forward you some websites. XoXoXo

just go down a bit in the newsletter and it talks about meds to use in it. I am very interested...this is really cool. I AM wondering if the centers will treat it with the same hesitation that they do the e-flow....NOT ENOUGH RESEARCH blah blah blah. I LOVE the price difference though!!!!! I wish I had not just bought a new compressor. How often do you have to replace the nebulizer, how do you sterilize it, does it tend to get clogged like the e-flow? Do you have a separate nebulizer for all meds?

Our clinic has refused to give me the e*flow for 2 years. When I asked about the AeroNeb, Dr. S had never heard of it. I told him that it was discussed at the Cystic Fibrosis Retreat out in California. I viewed the slides and presentation online, one Dr's research indicated it was comparable to the e*flow. So, long story short, I asked about and our clinic said it was no better or any worse than any other neb. (I beg to differ after using it!!) Two days after our clinic appt our Pari pump just quit working for some reason. I think that was fate or God, one of the two. Called our nurse practitioner and she ordered a new neb through our local medical supply company. I told her I didn't want a Pari and she let me choose the model I wanted. Thank Goodness!! It took about two weeks to get bc they had to order it but it is just fabulous! I cant say enough good things about it except that we cant use Jae's fishy masks with it. Oh well, the time benefit outweighs that one small feature.

I have no clue how often you have to replace it, hopefully not for at least 1-2 years for the price. The instructional booklet says specifically not to boil or sterilize, do not use anything but warm soapy water to rinse (never soak) and airdry. Period! Straight forward and simplistic, me likey!! Haha. So far, it hasnt clogged at all but I have only used Pulmozyme in it. But it turns it into a dry smoke, just like dry ice. The Pari was sort of a wetter mist, this is a fine dense smoke. Something completely different. It's so cool, I kinda wish I could use it. hahahaha!
