Airway clearance and pregnancy

I asked my CF doc about getting a vest at my last visit, but she said that I may just want to wait since we are trying to get preggy and the vest is not recommended during pregnancy. So my question to all of you is: what do you do for airway clearance?

she's completely wrong. I have been doing my vest from day one of ttc through early pregnancy and now. the doc said that I'd probably be too uncomfortable to do my vest past 6-7 months bc of being too big, but I am still doing 2 therapies a day with it.
in the beginning while I had the nausea the vest was harder-i threw up alot with it, but its not as if its contraindicated for preg. (the vibrations arent going to cause a miscarriage or upset the baby) some people just have a harder time with it and have to adjust their therapies. but my doc is thrilled that i've been able to stick with it the whole time.

I have vested during my pregnancy. Everyone on this pregnancy board just about Vested during prego. She is completely wrong. Ask her where she heard that? ...and correct her. Even Hill-rom knows that the chest vest (1/2 vest) is great for pregnancy.

Are you going to an accredited cf clinic? This astounds me.

I didnt have my vest during my pregnanacy. Any airway clearance I did was manual CPT. I found a position so they could do my back with no problem, but I have no doubt that if I had the vest at the time I would have been able to do it!
