Albuterol use in infant

My daughter's CF doctors have prescribed the use of an Albuterol inhaler after her CPT treatments. Has anyone else been advised to do so? She doesn't wheeze and seldom coughs, but their rationale is that it will "open" the airways to allow her to expell mucous more easily.

Our clinic does not plan on starting our 11 month old on any type of breathing treatments, besides CPT until he is at least 2 years old. Except if he starts to have a lot of issues. He has had several respiratory infections, as well as pneumonia.

My son has been on albuterol treatments via the nebulizer since he was in the NICU after birth. if we stop them or miss them we can tell. Im not sure if it would be the same way if we would have started them later in life but my clinic is all about being proactive and not reactive hopefully keeping things loose and at bay from the beginning!! He still does the nebulizer i havent even thought about doing it via inhaler may look into that!

This is our clinic's philosophy also.

My daughter has been nebulizing a combination of albuterol and mucomyst since she was 1 month old.
