I know at my center they will NOT transplant you if you have been drinking for exactly the reason tanya mentioned.
Also I must say this not to be rude but why the strong urge to have a drink when it may put your transplant in jeopardy. You can drink afterwards I would just try to refrain until that time because you never know when you may get your call and how badly would that suck to have a perfect set of lungs ready to be handed to you only for them to say no we can't because you have been drinking tonight.
Sorry but just my opinion on that. I would ask the center because your center may not care but you do have to take into consideration even if they don't care the affect it may have on the way you bleed during surgery, which could result in some major issues for you.
