I have terrible sinus drainage and it's causing so many problems right now and the dr's can't seem to get me on the right med. to clear it up. I was wondering what do you guys take or do for you allergies? I've taken Singular and am now trying Flonaze.

Sinus rinse and Claritin are the right combo for me! I know you can get sinus rinse over teh counter @ Walgreen's....you can pick up Claritin in the pharmacy of your local doctor. It has helped immensely to do that.

ALso making sure my room and bed are allergen free...this especially means DUST and any other annoying irritant! be sure to wash your bedding often in HOT WATER!

For the longest time I was taking Allegra and a sinus nose spray - either nasonex, flonase or one of the other gagillion medicated nose sprays they offer.

After my transplant I saw a new ENT and he told me to start doing sinus rinses. Since I started those I have stopped taking the sprays and am just doing the sinus rinses and taking the Allegra daily and have had the best go with my allergies and other sinus issues that I can recall having.

Take Care,

Lindsey

also, have you looked into allergy shots? my mom (no CF) swears by them. there are also lots of CFers on this board who do them and love them. it really controls their CF symptoms too, naturally.
