Allergy medication

I was allergy tested last month and I'm a very allergic person--both indoor and outdoor.  I've read a lot of helpful posts here about the best allergy medicine to take (I think I'll start Allegra and Nasacort AQ), but I have a question about possible side effects.  I am concerned about them drying me out, making it more difficult to get a productive cough.  I certainly don't want them to make me worse in the long run!  Does anyone have any experience with this?  I'm also aware that everyone is probably different, but if no one experienced having problems, I'll probably try them out.  Thanks.

Nasal spray medications should not have a pronounced drying side effect like oral medications.

Not all anti-histamines have anticholinergic effects. Zyrtec does, claritin does (but to a much less extent), while Allegra does not.

So chose your anti-histamine carefully and you will be able to avoid drying effects. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I take Zyrtec and flonaise. I haven't had any problems with them drying me out. I know different medications work for different people so I would just keep an eye on how you feel after starting and then try switching one at a time (if it ends up drying you out).
