Few Questions for anyone who has experience:
How do doctors feel about writing a prescription for a new vest when they know the patient already has one? Is this a problem?
What can be done with the old vest (sold, returned, kept as a backup, etc)
Does it have to be disclosed to a new insurance company that a patient already has a vest purchased through a different insurance company?
I suppose what I am really wondering is: our insurance company paid 100% for my daughter's vest (The Vest) in 2005 but my husband may be taking a different job in the next couple of years which means a new insurance company...so I am wondering if we will be able to get the Respiritech vest if he does get a new job??
Thanks Everyone!</end quote></div>
These are good questions and I would like to add two more if you don't mind answering Amy. Who wrote out the prescription for the Respiritech vest, Dr. Warwick or your current cf doctor? If Warwick did then did you let your current doctor know you were going to pursue this as your insurance probably would have to get your medical records to clear the need for this hugh durable medical equipment purchase? Thanks so much for sharing with us this entire experience. Many of us are learning through your efforts and we are grateful.<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0">
