ANOTHER INFERITILITY QUESTION

Hey,
I haven't been on this board in a while but I know there are people here who have gone through the process off IVF. Me and my wife just started getting this going and of course found out I have no swimmers , but that was expected. Now they are sending me to a uraligist to make sure they can get sperm from me. Is this the correct route to be going in? Just wanted to make sure.

Thanks

Hi,

Julie and her husband, Mark w/CF, just went through IVF. She would be a great source of information for you. She has her own website and always responds to emails. Good luck!

yes, there is something like 2-4% of males who are NOT infertile and can have biological children naturally. The other 96-98% need assistive procedures.

Plucky, it depends on what "type" of urologist you are going to. If you've already had the sperm analysis, so going to a urologist might be a mute point unless they are a urologist who specializes in infertility as well.

Othewise, you might have better luck finding an IVF doctor who has experience with Male infertility OR finding out from them who/what urologist they use when they have a male infertility situation. If you need more specific help, feel free to email me and I can do my best to assist you.

It would help to know what city/state you live in so I can do some general research if you would like. My email is division902@verizon.net
