Hey!
Sorry for the incessant questions, but this round of IVs has kind of thrown me for a loop. So, I was on merrum and tobra for 9 days, but like my previous post mentioned, I was switched today from merrum to cefedime. Well, now I'm having severe anxiety that maybe 9 days of merrum will breed resistance since I'm usually on it 14. Apparently I'm really stressed lately, but am curious if your docs have switched meds that far into treatment when you're not getting the results you want?
They said I'm sensitive to merrum and tobra, so they don't know why they wouldn't work and now I'm just second guessing stopping the merrum and starting something new with the tobra. Urgh..... I just stress WAY too much over this resistance thing. I've tried to research if 9 days was long enough to get any benefit and hopefully not breed resistance cause we stopped it early, but I haven't been able to find anything. Any ideas? Has this happened to you and then you've still been sensitive to the med you stopped early? I am terrified of resistance and just worry stopping at 9 days was like stopping an antibiotic "early", which is a no-no.
Thanks! Sorry for my anxiety!!!
