Anti-Inflamatory Eating

I think the anti-inflammatory diest can be great for those who can follow it. I tried it a few months ago and had to give up on it because i lost quite a bit of weight by following it. My blood sugars were the best they had ever been, but the weight loss i didnt like and couldnt seem to avoid, so i gave up on it. I am still following some of the guidelines though. Trying to limit cold cuts, processed foods and such, but i can't give it up all together, since i am now trying to gain back what i lost. Good Luck with the diet. If you can do it without any weight loss that is awesome !!

Whenever you start a new way of eating, if you do not know how to account for the caloric difference, you will lose weight. this happened to me in my twenties and I freaked out. I lost the weight very quickly.

It is important to start slowly and eliminate the processed foods. If you decide to cut out wheat, substitute wheat for spelt bread or other kinds of grains.

Mabe writing down all the foods that you currently eat, calories and all and then compare this to your new change.

Take your time in the grocery store and look for alternatives. It can take a few months to maybe a year until you learn how to switch the plan around that works for you.

What I did in my late teens was stopped all cookies in large amounts and substituted them for cheese and bread. It was better but today the cheese congests me so I learned to find other alteratives. work up the scale until you find the foods that work for you. It is not easy but it is worth it if you start slowly and observe. It takes time to acquire new tastes.

Perhaps someone should start a thread on the healthier foods that work.

I just made some spaghetti with this brand of pasta. They have all shapes and sizes of pasta. DELICiousheoso!

I had my protein source from tuna and veggies. Now that is what i call a healthy meal. Tuna is high in mercury but that is the only thing I have to eat before I go shopping.

I do not eat extremely healthy all the time but for the most part, I do a good job for me. What I call junkie, My friends call healthy. It is all relative.

Whatever floats your boat

Well luckily for me--I guess I have a few, or 10-15 extra pounds 'hanging around' so it shouldnt be a rpoblem. I am doing this for the health of it and hoping the weight will just follow suit. I have never had a problem gaining or maintaining weight.

Actually, I was just making all my food for this coming week for lunch and breakfast and it is the first time in my life I will be eating WHOLE FAT yogurt etc. I was making my dressing for my salads this week at work and I was amazed at how much oil I will be putting on the salad, I woudl notmally do mostly vinegar with a dab of oil so it is veyr interesting.
