Anti-Inflammation Diet, Supplements, other "Natural" Therapies

Reading some comments to the Ibuprofen thread got me thinking about looking into some more "alternative" therapies for my husband. Does anyone have any good resources for information about the different supplements? Also, any book suggestions for the anti-inflammation diet? I found this list on the University of Maryland Medical Center's website which has a bunch of supplement recommendations...I just feel like I need some more information. <a target=_blank class=ftalternatingbarlinklarge href="http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/cystic-fibrosis-000045.htm

</a>
Thanks!!

Lisa,
I like a book called The Anti-Inflammation Diet and Recipe Book by Jessica K Black ND. Since you are in Seattle you could also have Gessner see someone at Bastyr. They have nutritionists and Naturopathic Drs.

I've also noticed that PCC has classes on anti inflammatory cooking, I've meant to sign up for one for awhile now.

Good luck

Anti-Inflammation Diet, Supplements, other "Natural

My diet evolved without reading an anti inflammatory diet book but thought I'd comment. I like the list you pulled up, it is an excellent summary of how I eat though I need lean red meat on a regular basis and need coffee. The only supplementation I do is vitamin C if sick and garlic/onion with my meals. I've tried a lot of other stuff and found that nothing topped these items in effectiveness. Very, very good list.
