I've tasted all ds's meds and they're pretty nasty. Think the actigall is the worst -- cherry flavored vomit. Guess there's a reason it's called "Bile salts".

My cousin's daughter is in high school and last Xmas dinner, she was amazed that DS will take his enzyme capsules whole and wash them down with a drink. Her daughter STILL couldn't swallow pills. I suggested that with capsules, you pop them in your mouth, take a drink and lean forward. The capsules float to the top (back of your throat), making it much easier to swallow.

The capsule forms work best for me because you can just sprinkle them on some applesauce and your child has no idea that they are taking the meds. my 4 year old is revolted by any meds from the vitamins to the antibiotics to the tylenol!!!!

Gave the capsules a go - worked a treat. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif" border="0"> Just wish I'd have done it ages ago. <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif" border="0"> Sprinkled them in apple sauce, which she takes her enzymes with, so she is well used to it by now if you know what I mean?! Bless her - she really is a little star. <img src="i/expressions/heart.gif" border="0">

Take care.

just a little tablet trick to pass on...: )...most of the antibiotics are large, chalky tablets...gives those with milk...it will help to coat them and mask the taste...my daughter has been swallowing all of her meds since she was 2...no applesauce needed here...good luck...
