Very strange correlations...

I can tell that Paxil did help me though, weight-wise at least. I was a little tiny anorexic looking kid until I was about 12 or so, when they put me on Paxil. All the sudden I gained tons of weight and started eating more. I think without it I wouldn't have grown nearly as well....

Wow interesting. I was able to get the full-text Nature Medicine article... Nature is typically a pretty prestigious journal for publication, so I'd say this is legit. (Though that doesn't mean that the BBC article is entirely accurate... as Aspen said, journalists are pretty good at screwing up science!)

I was going to try copying some of the key points here, but this study is quite complicated - it's a ten page journal article. If anyone wants a copy of the PDF file send me a private message with your email address and I can send it to you.

Lightnlife/Salty, I noticed the same thing with news articles. They generally make me pull out my hair or bang my head on the desk. A CF article might read something like "Sevenstars, a young woman that contracted CF from a strain of Pseudomonas...".

Interesting article nonetheless, I'm sure the meat of the research is a lot more, well, meaty than the fluff of the article. It will be interesting to watch.
