I ask out of curiosity and because I wondering if anyone had
thoughts on the CF centers at Children's Memorial Hospital or Rush?

i went to the Children's hospital until last year and i have nothing but good things to say about it. They were always very on top of everything and everyone made you feel at home. My adult program (Northwestern) is actually still at Children's and that made me feel much better. The only issue I had is when I had to stay in the hospital. I didn't like not having my own room or anything but that was a long time ago so things might have changed.

I had Dr. McColley, who is a very good doctor and is known throughout the Midwest for the work she does

I use to go there up until i think 18 then u get transfered to Northwestern for the adult clinc which is really great as well, I had Dr. McColley she is great the best around here as far as i Know, i really miss her as a doctor, but i know see Dr. Jain which his clinic is still at childrens which was said in a earlier post. If i were u chose childrens, its on the North side which is hike unless u live there but its worth it. I wish u all the luck and if u have any questions just ask. I see Dr. Jain at Northwestern as well. I have mixed feelings about the clinc though. I guess that's due to exceptional care that I previously received in Omaha at the University of Nebraska Med Center. Oh well.

i as well have mixed feelings about Northwestern. I do not trust their hospital because when i was there they put me on the wrong floor, never came to see me, gave me a massive dose of mistaken predisone (which resulted in the nurse getting fired i think), forgot PFTs, and finally let me go because they had messed up so much. I loved the care I got at Children's and feel like they really care about you.
I highly reccommend Children's and Dr. McColley

When I was a child I went to Childrens Memorial and then followed my CF doc out to Park Ridge at Lutheran General where he opened the Cf clinic at Lutheran General. I was the first CF patient at the clinic. That was when I was 7 and I am now 34 years old. I now see DR Stone who is the CF adult doctor and he is great. Tells it like it is. I have been going to the CF Clinic at Lutheran General since I was 7 and I like it. Never had any problems and DR Stone takes the time to listen and answer all my questions. I come into his office with a whole list!
