Everytime I get put into the hospital they do chest xrays. Does your nephews Dr do the same thing? Its sounds to me like he may have a partial collapsed lung which can be seen on an xray or a ct scan. Just a thought. Im not a Dr so dont take it to heart its just what I thought when I read you post.

Thank you for all the insight. They did run an X-ray when he was admitted, but there was no change from the one he had prior to that, which was probably about 4 months ago. Maybe he is having a reaction to one of the meds?...the poor guy is allergic to milk products, like highly allergic to them (at 15, he has never tasted ice cream! And weight gain is a huge challenge-he weighs less than 90 pounds). So with many of the meds he takes, he has to be given IV benadryl first which just makes him sleepy all day long!

Renee-I remember reading that your daughter was having problems around the holidays. I am glad to hear that things have turned around for her<img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif" border="0">

I am going to visit my nephew tomorrow night and pass on good vibes for higher PFTs on Friday!!!

Thanks again!
