Actually, I never "Called Myself" Irish, I was stating I have Irish Background...Honestly, after living in a different country for so long, I could't call myself Irish unless I lived in Ireland for over a year. (and that may not even be long enough!)
Though, after 13 years in Japan, I ain't calling myself "Japanese"!
But, I have been discovering lately that the parents don't really put much info into the Grandparent's childhood history, or even their heretage much.
If any of you Irish from Dublin wish to give some info of what it's like to live there, I think it would give interesting reading, especially to those of "Us" (Can be mistranslated as 'U.S.") who claim we are "Irish".
Godspeed!

It'll be Paddy's day here before everyone else's!!

Sorry, but not to offend, I was taught to wear Green, though I heard that there are some who traditionally wear Orange on Paddy's day. Is this true? It was a classmate of mine from High School who told me this, so I'm talking 20 years ago!
Well, the likelyhood to run across any Irish-Japanese is "Slim to None"!, so I'll probably be the only one dressed lookin like a 6 ft. Leprechaun!
