Any smart storage solutions?

Does anyone have any interesting ways of keeping organised and storing all of their equipment? Please post photos if you do. Also, do you think you would buy new table or shelf type product if it was specially designed for Cystic Fibrosis?? My cousin could really use one, he's always leaving used nebuliser parts lying around.

I'm always curious about organization as well. You'd think after 34 years I'd have come up with something better for my vest and compressor. I'd definitely buy a special shelf/cart if it looks like it would work. I'm always looking at Target/Bed Bath and Beyond etc, for a cart that could serve my purpose!

As far as nebs go, I did buy a little 2 shelf thing for my kitchen counter. They slide in and out so I can easily place them in for drying, or when getting it ready. It takes up a little less space and the kitchen counter, and keeps them away from everything else. I'm still always on the lookout for something better though. :)

Would love to see/hear what others do! Thanks for posting this Daver!

I know that feeling. My desk is a disaster area of pill bottles, nasal sprays, and nebulizer stuff. I mean it has drawers, but most of it I need every few hours so there's not much point it putting it away. I'm also the kind of person who'd likely forget some of the less frequent things if they weren't in sight.

I sit at an L shaped desk for my breathing (does everyone call vest and nebs breathing or is it just my family?) that way I can use the computer while breathing. On my left hand is a wide night stand that sits under the desktop with doors on the bottom and a pull out drawer. Behind the doors of the nightstand my vest and pump sit. In the drawer I keep 1-2 weeks of tobi, albuterol, and hyper-sal in small-ish boxes (along with some thumb drives and usb cords). I also have 4 'active' nebs that sit in a microwave safe container (when clean) or just outside the container (when dirty), that fits in the pull out drawer. I have 4 sets of nebs (2 morning, 2 night) so I clean/sterilize them before my night-time treatment. The desk has a medium sized door where I store months’ worth of the inhaler meds (except the fridge stuff) and spare nebs, and hoses.

Single bottles of enzymes, azith, and supplements go in the kitchen next to cereal bowls (so I don't forget). The big box of enzymes goes in a box in the pantry. It stays pretty organize, but I tend to leave out dirty nebs or my vest and hoses unless company is coming over.

I thought about building me a special furniture piece for the breathing stuff, but eventually just repurposed the night stand after finding the desk at a yard sale.

I personally have no experience keeping things organized, the one thing I do do is keep a dorm fridge specifically for meds and beer. I think that if I were pressed to I would make an armoire to fit all my stuff in with shelves for pill bottles, space for rt stuff and cloth baskets for neb parts. I would imagine that any armoire would do well if you retrofitted it for your needs. Plus it would close up for privacy if that is something you value. Once I get settled after grad school I have plans to build a good desk for all my research needs and a built in silent air compressor for my nebs.

All my refrigerated meds have their own shelf in the refrigerator. All my other meds are stored in a tub in the pantry, and I keep a weekly pill container, separated into mornings and evenings for each day, on the kitchen table. My vest and nebs are kept in a small cabinet in my family room, next to my chair. The vest is just a touch too big, so the door on that side doesn't close, but the other door closes nicely to hide tubing. My dad drilled a hole in the back so all the electrical cords can be hidden. My neb cups are kept in a little plastic drawer system I bought from Walmart. Each neb has it's own drawer and it sits on the kitchen counter next to the sink.

If you look on pinterest and search for "cystic fibrosis storage", a person uses an Ikea Raskog cart to store their stuff on!
