Anyone ever try to add whole milk powder to regular whole milk

When we switched ds from formula to whole milk, someone here suggested making "creamy milk" -- basically 3 cups milk, 1-2 ounces of cream and one packet of carnation instant breakfast. Isn't as sweet or thick as regular carnation instant breakfast.

yep, that'd be double strength milk. You mean mixing up powdered milk with whole milk instead of water, right? My son drank it, but he isn't too picky about his milk. I stopped giving it to him because he has a lot of issues with constipation and fear/holding, I figured that probably wasn't helping the situation. Although now he is on daily miralax and doing much better, so maybe I'll try it again.

I wanted to add that lately we've been just adding a TBSP or 2 of heavy cream to his whole milk, and giving him a boost plus or ensure plus before bed with his snack.

I have never added milk powder but I do add formula to regular milk or cream. My daughter does fine with it, but we have been doing it that way since she was a year. So she does not know the difference. Usually what I do is 2 ounces of cream, 6 scoops of formula and then 5 ounces of water or 8 ounces of milk and 6 scoops of formula. She will take it either way.
